How You Can Help
You can help a child the most by becoming a volunteer. However, many wonderful people feel a strong desire to help kids, but cannot commit to becoming a CASA volunteer at this time. CASA offers many ways in which you can support a child who has been abused or neglected in our community.
*Donate school supplies so CASA children can be well prepared for a great year of learning. Please drop off your donation at CASA by Weds, Aug 18th. If you have questions, email Jill Mestler or call her at (541) 868-3088. Specific items that are needed include:
Glue sticks
Elmer’s school glue
Scissors (blunt end for younger kids, pointy for older ones)
Ballpoint pens
No. 2 pencils
Pencil sharpener (hand held with a top to collect shavings)
Large Pin Pearl Eraser
Box of crayons (16-pack for younger kids, more for older ones)
Markers - Washable
Colored pencils
Water color paints
Highlighters
Spiral notebook – Wide ruled and college ruled
3-ring binder 1” inch and 2” inch
Notebook paper – Wide ruled and college ruled
Dividers with write on tabs
Pocket folders
Pencil pouch to fit into binder
School supply box
A ruler with English and metric measurements
Small School box (for storing supplies)
Kleenex
Backpack – age appropriate kindergarten to high school age
Socks and underwear of all sizes, male and female
*Donate gently used clothing for children who have been removed from their homes, placed in foster care, and have no personal belongings with them.
*Attend a CASA event.
*Help a child today through individual or corporate sponsorship.
*Become an event sponsor.
*Support an advocate through training.
*Become a Friend of CASA.
