CASA of Lane County recruits, trains, and supervises community volunteers who become parties to the dependency cases of children who are in foster care due to abuse or neglect.
CASAs serve as beacons of hope, guiding children through the complex court and child welfare systems. When children are removed from their homes, they often enter overburdened systems that can drown out their voices. CASA volunteers step in to ensure their voices are heard loud and clear, helping to find safe, permanent homes for these children as quickly as possible.
About Our Program
Join us in our mission to make a difference. By supporting CASA of Lane County, you can help provide a powerful voice for these children and enable them to find the safe, loving homes they deserve. Together, we can create a community where every child is cherished and allowed to thrive. Be a part of the change that transforms lives and restores hope.
Mission
Our mission is to be a powerful voice, empowering volunteer advocates to safeguard the best interests of children who have endured abuse or neglect. We are dedicated to offering hope and ensuring every child has the opportunity to thrive in a safe, nurturing environment.
Vision
Our vision is to become the most impactful CASA program in Oregon.
To achieve our vision, in the next 5 years, we will grow our organization to a $2 million nonprofit, providing support and advocacy for children in Lane County who are at-risk due to child abuse and neglect. We will increase our volunteer advocates from 191 to 300 and the number of children served from 400 to 650.
Mission Integrity Statement
At CASA of Lane County, we are committed to upholding the integrity of our mission by serving every child and family with respect, compassion, and dedication. We strive to create an environment where all feel safe, supported, and valued. By addressing obstacles and connecting families with essential resources, we help ensure that every child has the opportunity to thrive. Our unwavering focus on the well-being of children guides everything we do.
Values
We believe children are our future and that all children deserve to have equitable access to resources, people who believe in and support them, a safe permanent home, and the opportunity to thrive.
Everything we do is founded in these beliefs and we carry this out by exercising our core values: integrity, inclusion, collaboration, and support.
