LANE COUNTY: The pandemic posed significant challenges with volunteer recruitment, retention, and events. While in the early days of the pandemic due to an outpouring of support, volunteer recruitment numbers and event revenues remained steady; however, over time, as the pandemic took its toll on individuals, families, and businesses, a decrease in recruitment and revenue was seen, along with higher volunteer turnover.

OREGON CASA: In January a commission staff person is hired to direct the development of the program. In July a Program Coordinator and an Advocacy Coordinator are hired. The first group of Lane County CASA volunteers is trained in June and sworn in on August 16, 1994.
